Mastering Acting with Presence Workshops

These workshops are a space to explore what it really means to bring yourself fully into the work, alive, intuitive. Whether you’re just starting out or bringing years of experience, the focus is on uncovering truth and connection in a way that feels natural and sustainable.

Each element of the work helps you grow sensitivity, awareness, and presence so you can move beyond “acting” and step into authentic being. It’s not about chasing results, it’s about creating the conditions for discovery, where strong work arises naturally.

You’ll practice following your intuition, staying open in the moment, and connecting with your scene partner in ways that feel real and grounded. The aim is to build a practice you can rely on, one that supports you on stage, on set, and in life.

Instead of rigid levels or fixed steps, sessions flow fluidly between three core elements, adapting to what the room and the work call for.

Key Elements

In our classes, we don’t work through a preset syllabus. Instead, we move through three core elements that shape every session. I show up and feel out what’s alive in the room. We might dive into one element more deeply one week and shift to another the next, always staying flexible and open.

Foundational Techniques

Actors work with selected elements from leading methods: Meisner, Stanislavski, Adler, Hagen, Strasberg and others, not as isolated tricks but as a base that builds into The ‘Y’ Method. The focus is on emotion, behaviour, and language, supported by psychological insights and exercises that adapt to every learning style. The goal is confidence that comes from authenticity, not performance.

The ‘Y’ Method

This method moves from tools into philosophy. Rooted in curiosity, intuition, and wonder, it’s about discovering rather than imposing. Actors learn to surrender control, follow their intuition, and let flow emerge. The result is real presence, where performance feels lived rather than acted, and self-trust replaces the need for external approval.

The Travis Technique

Here the openness of The ‘Y’ Method meets the precision of performance. Using rehearsed triggers, actors spark genuine emotion without relying on personal trauma. It’s about acting through, not acting out, alive and instinctive in every take. The technique reframes rehearsal, guiding blocking, movement, and relationships from the inside out, ensuring spontaneity and depth remain intact.
